A new day in Christ
I woke up this morning with joy in my heart
for with the dear Savior, a new day I’ll start.
His mercies are fresh every morning you see
God’s grace is sufficient to supply every need
May we praise Him today, for His goodness is sweet
and may the Spirit control us and make us complete.
Finding His Presence
Oh, what a thrill to witness God’s power upon the mountain peaks. To see Him rain fire from the heavens above so vic’try the prophet would see. We stand in awe as we gaze in the flames that surround the three Hebrew men, and see the face of the Son of God abiding as their shield and defense. Our hearts rejoice as we stand at the tomb where his body has laid in the earth, and hear the trembling words of our Lord, as He cries to Lazarus, “Come forth”.
These triumphs of life, remind us, no doubt, of our God’ awesome power and might. But, sometimes the greatest experience with God, is found in the stillness of night. There we can lay on the breast of our Lord, under the shadow of His sheltering wing, and find peace in the midst of the tempest of life that only His presence can bring.
He only asks that we come unto Him, bringing all of our labors and cares, so, that we see clearly, in the darkest of night, the He longs to answer our prayers.
Wonderful Grace
Wonderful grace that rescued me, low in the depths of life’s struggling seas. It’s goodness has brought me to safeties shore, where I shall sink in despair no more. It has led me now to new heights divine, where peace, sweet peace, I gladly find. Lord, I thank you for this extended grace, for in it, I’ll rejoice, till I soon see your face.
If I Would Choose a Path to Take
If I would choose a path to take that would seem the best for me, I would chart my course to sail through life on calm and glassy seas. I would pass far wide of the stormy waves that would cause my ship to fail. For surely, the smoother the course I choose, the better my ship would sail.
I love to stand on the mountains high, far above the river and plains,but, from the valleys below, the mountains above, look like a steep, insurmountable strain.
I’ve charted my course to serve my Lord. I love Him more than words can proclaim. I will walk in the light of the Spirit of God and in His I will I daily remain. I trust in your goodness. You are all that I need. I know your grace is sufficient for me. I will continue my course in the light of your Word, and be to others what you have been to me.
